The Generosity of Two Special Friends
The Scottish Society of Martha's Vineyard is grateful for the generosity of two special friends,Victor and Jacquelyn Zollo.
Victor and Jackie have, once again, made a large contribution to our Burn's Night Supper. Burn's Night is our biggest event of the year and all money raised from our auction and raffle goes into our scholarship fund.
We try to keep the supper affordable so we usually barely break even on that part of the evening, leaving our operating account,
let's say a bit meager.
Because of Victor and Jackie's gift we have decided to open a Martha's Vineyard Tartan Account. With these extra funds we will be able to purchase more MV Tartan cloth from Scotland and have it produced into more articles such as ties, scarves, shawls etc. This action will secure the production and availability of our beautiful
tartan products for years to come.
On behalf of all the members of the Society and all those of us
who love things Scottish I would like to sincerely thank the Zollos for making this possible.
